Volunteering During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Club and Society Volunteering
If you'd like to browse a list of our clubs and societies you can check them out here . To keep up to date with their latest activities you can search for their society social media pages (Facebook, Instagram or Twitter) and contact them there. Please bear in mind that some groups won’t be running any activity at the moment.
Other Opportunities
Many of the opportunities listed on the Leeds for Life website are now on hold as most face-to-face volunteering in the community has stopped in line with the Government's instructions on social distancing.

Two volunteer roles which have been set up in direct response to the COVID-19 are the NHS Volunteer Responder and the Leeds City Council/VAL COVID-19 Community Care Volunteer. Both schemes have had an overwhelming response and so much so that recruitment for these volunteer roles has now been paused. If the recruitment re-opens we will advertise these roles once again on the Leeds for Life website. We recommend that first and foremost you safeguard yourselves and follow the Government advice on volunteering in the community at this time.

You can still volunteer from the safety of your own home as there are many virtual volunteering roles available. We have listed some popular ones in the Volunteer Online role and we expect more volunteering online roles will emerge in the coming months.
