About this event
The Government is currently shaping a new Environment Bill, the first in more than twenty years. It will set out a legal framework for the government’s promise to leave the environment in a better state over the next 25 years.
LUU is working with our valued partner student unions across Leeds (Leeds Beckett Students' Union, Leeds Arts Union, Leeds City College Students' Union & Leeds Trinity Students' Union) to invite our local MPs to discuss and debate on the new Environment Bill that is being created at the moment.
During a busy and unstable time in politics, we are asking our MPs to not let this pass by without considered discussion and consultation.
This panel discussion will be chaired by Student Union Executive Officers, and will include a local MP, a high-profile environmentalist (provided by WWF / TWT) and a local academic.
