About this event
This trip provides an opportunity for you to explore one of most rural parts of the UK, Dalehead in the Lake District. We will be walking around the local area over the Saturday and Sunday, aiming to spend as much time outdoors as possible, getting the most out of the weekend! We will aim to leave Leeds around 14:15hrs on the Friday afternoon and get back to Leeds in the late evening on the Sunday.
On Saturday you will have the opportunity to walk:
- Up Scafell Pike ( Englands Highest Peak)
- A more relaxed walk around Harterfell including a view of an ancient roman outpost
- On Sunday we will visit Coniston water and take a trip around the lake and into the town.
On the way to Dalehead on the Friday evening, we will be stopping off to pick up food supplies for the Saturday night communal dinner. We will also provide food for basic packed lunches on the Saturday and Sunday. Please bring any additional food for the daytime that you may require. We will also stop en route, probably in Kendal on Friday for the evening meal which is usually for fish and chips or similar so please bring some cash for this.
This trip will be sold on a first come first serve basis, so if you are interested in coming along then don’t hesitate to book on.
