Weekend of Unity and Celebration

Weekend of Unity and Celebration

This weekend is the last few days of World Unite Festival so get ready for a big finale.

World Unite Festival aims to celebrate our global campus community, and this week over 500 students have taken part in more than 50 events. These include everything from experiencing a ‘Night of Singapore’ to a ‘Global Music Quiz’.

On Friday, you’re invited to join in the World Unite Festival Carnival outside LUU. Bring something to wave and get there for 12pm to celebrate all of the international cultures we have on campus.

This Sunday, grab tickets to The Show of Unity an international and intercultural extravaganza showcasing the talents of our Union Societies that is being hosted by the chaplaincy. All proceeds are going to MSF Doctors without Borders.

Tamsin Scott, Equality and Diversity Officer at Leeds University Union said: "It’s been wonderful celebrating everyone’s different cultures on campus for World Unite Festival. At our Union everyone is welcome and I can’t wait for the big Show of Unity this weekend!”
