This year, your Union has given away over 4,000 free breakfasts during the exam period to support you.
In total Old Bar was the most popular, giving away a whopping 3,249 hot sandwiches to send you off to the library or your exam with a smile on your face. Common Ground served 889 free pastries and porridge bowls and were open on extra weekends to give you an alternative revision space.
Free breakfasts were just some of the many perks put on by your Union. We also held meditation and wellbeing sessions and two Global Bring and Share events to encourage you take a break from the books.
Lumie Lights in the Foyer were also here to help with those dark revision days with free tea and coffee too along with everyone’s favourite pup - Pepper. We gave you 800 cups of free tea or coffee and 100 biscuits.
You told us you found our activities helpful during the exam time - with one student filling out their feedback form saying: "It gives me pleasure and support on nervous exam days." We’re pleased to help you out.
Your Welfare Officer Matt Port said: “As your Union we are here to support you throughout your uni life. And that means the exams and assignments too. We hope you found our exam support activity helped you through and if you have any other suggestions get in touch.”
Our Help and Support team are here for you all year round, so if you feel like your assignment has not gone as well as you wanted or you have any concerns, find out more here.
