We would like to appoint two part-time Postgraduate Engagement Assistants to work with Postgraduate Engagement Team and support the development of our work with and for postgraduates. There are around 9,000 postgraduates at the University of Leeds - a quarter of the population - and LUU acknowledge that we can and should do more for these cohorts. You should be willing to take a proactive role in this expansion.

The work of this team is organised into three main areas: renewing representative structures for PGRs, engaging with academic practice through events and programming, and rethinking taught postgraduates. These new projects will augment existing and ongoing work on postgraduate wellbeing, social programming, representation, and careers. You will be an integral part of researching, developing, delivering, and evaluating these new and expanding strands.

Due to the nature of these roles we particularly welcome applications from students and researchers currently engaged in programmes at the University of Leeds.

You will also be expected to develop relationships with and work alongside colleagues from around campus including in the Doctoral College, faculty graduate schools, and the International Student Office, as well as other relevant University services.

In your application, please explain how you meet the person specification and what you can bring to the team here at LUU.

We offer 26 days’ holiday (plus generous statutory and customary closure days) and a pension scheme.

Closing date: 9am Monday 30 September 2019
Interviews:  Friday 11 October 2019

LUU is committed to equality and valuing diversity within its employees therefore we welcome applications from all sections of the community.
