What we’re all about
The Badminton club at the LUU are a vibrant, friendly and social club welcoming players of all standards including those new to the game. We run social sessions twice a week as well as team training three times a week run by a professional coach for competitive players. There are also friendly matches, club tournaments and socials for all.
Training is as follows:
Recreational badminton: Wed 12-2pm edge 1A
Sun 12-2pm at the Gryphon Centre.
The first two weeks are free (starting wwwk beginning 1st October with first session on Sunday 7th October due to Varsity on the Wednesday!) so come along and give it a go before becoming a member!
Team training (INVITE ONLY): M1/W1 Monday, Tuesday and Friday morning Performance Squad.
M2/M3/W2 Monday 8:30-10:30pm and Thursday 8.30-10.30pm

Membership is £26 for the year for recreational players. Prices differ for team players.
Freshers Fair - Want more information about the badminton society or have any questions, come and visit our stall at the freshers fair. Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th September 2018 - 10am-4pm - Edge Sports Hall 1
Team Trials - We have multiple men's, women's and mixed teams who play in a variety of leagues at different levels. The teams receive weekly top quality training and compete in matches in their league and the cup every Wednesday against many other universities So if you want to show off your skills to our team captains, then come along to our team trials. Saturday 29th September 2018 - 2-4pm - Gryphon Sports Centre
Give it a Go session - Come along to try out playing badminton. This session is for anyone and everyone. It might be your first time and you want to learn to play, meeting some new people along the way. Or you might want to bring some friends and find out who the true master of the court is. Either way, this is a great way to get a feel for the society or try a new sport for the first time! Sunday 21st October 2018 - 12-2pm - Gryphon Sports Centre
